Colonel Bill Spencer, United States Air Force, Retired, is currently affiliate faculty in the College of Adult and Graduate Studies for Colorado Christian University, teaching courses in Social Science, Business, and Christian Leadership. He was recently named the 2014 Outstanding Faculty of the Year for CCU’s Business and Technology Division, out of over 250 affiliate faculty members in both the Adult Undergraduate as well as CCU’s MBA program.
A native of Richmond, Virginia, he graduated in 1975 with a Bachelor of Science degree in International Affairs, American Politics, from the United States Air Force Academy. He spent nearly 29 years on active duty as a Command Pilot flying reconnaissance jets as well as other command and staff positions, including a successful tour as publisher and editor of the professional journal of the US Air Force (now, Air & Space Power Journal).
He holds a Master of Arts degree in National Security and Strategic Studies from the United States Naval War College in Newport, Rhode Island, and a Master of Public Administration degree in Manpower Management from Golden Gate University in San Francisco, California.
He is the recent past national representative for Family Policy Councils for Focus on the Family. For nearly eight years he was responsible for helping establish and maintain independent, non-profit organizations to engage the culture by advocating for pro-family issues at the state and local levels all across the country.
Colonel Spencer is currently serving on the Board of Directors and as Vice President of The Brushfires Foundation, a Wisconsin non-profit that promotes proper stewardship of God’s design for human sexuality while countering the harmful cultural impacts of pornography addiction including human trafficking and individual brokenness.
