I usually wait a day or so before I start to think about the latest media hissy fit over the fact that Hillary wasn’t elected in 2016. The people of the United States, in accordance with the Constitution of the United States, elected the person they wanted, and it wasn’t Hillary.

The person that was elected has a foul mouth and is inarticulate.  He’s certainly not the first (like how about every president—at least since Truman—has done the very same thing).  He won’t be the last.  But the media wasn’t talking about the tax cut success or the fact that North Korea has taken a time out or that the markets are going through the roof.  They’re talking about this president’s foul mouth.  The reality is that they are “on a different planet” over the fact that Hillary lost.

Even uber-liberals Jake Tapper and Morning Joe were up-front about the fact that the media was out “over their skis” on this story.  For those of you who don’t ski, please substitute the phrase “out in front of their headlights.”  Everyone, and that includes our current president in this story, ran over themselves because they were out in front of the range of their headlights—and it’s a dark night out there when it comes to the language we use in public, in the Oval and on Saturday Night Live.

Now the left is back-tracking, suddenly concerned with truth in reporting, and telling us that what went down in that White House conversation may not be necessarily so.  If the source is Dick Durbin, that’s all I need to know.  Dick, and the rest of us, need to trash (my word choice) the fact that Hillary lost—and move on.

I’m certainly not defending the president’s inarticulation.  I had no choice when his predecessor was inarticulate during his administration when the military moved away from “service before self,” or when Obama colorfully lit up the White House, celebrating the re-definition of God’s view of marriage, or when his party’s convention voted God out of their platform three times, or when he declared to the world that “we are no longer a Christian nation,” or when he concluded a speech with, “God Bless Planned Parenthood.”  And these things were said not about other countries.  These were about us—our country.  When it comes to condemning our president, I have to ask, “Which one?”  Satan is having a field day.  So, it’s time for some rough language.  Get the heck over the fact that Hillary lost.

We will be at war soon, and we better find some unity around our current president or the losses in the field will be greater.  If Jake and Joe are worried about what history might think of leftist media now, just wait until history reports on them after the war.

This won’t happen, but the left needs to realize one reality.  Should we ever lose a war and our land is occupied by conquering forces, the left’s vaunted spokespeople in the news media would be the second group of people to be summarily executed.  Pardon my language, and let’s move on.
